Dd Wrt Firmware Always Upgrade Fail

I have 'dd-wrt.v24-16785NEWD-2K2.6big-e2000.bin' installed and whilst the Wiki saysQuote:It has been asked about how to revert back to stock firmware, why would you ever want to do that?!? You can always flash back to dd-wrt anyhow, to revert back to stock firmware simply download the latest E2000 firmware from linksys site, reset you router to defaults from within dd-wrt's webgui, wait, then login and select the stock firmware file and flash, make sure to select 'reset to defaults' on the drop down menu when flashing.I can't seem to upgrade to anything and instead get 'Upgrade failed.' , every time. Disabled Windows firewall and no AV.
Tried multiple hard resets. Dd Wrt Firmware Always Upgrade Failed
I have a WRT54GS v6 router that i've been trying to put DD-WRT on. My router is stuck in management mode, and using the My54gsImage.bin as directed results in an 'upgrade failed' message. Now, using the vxworksprepgsv03.bin file results in a 'success' message, but I am scred to deviate from the instructions on the wiki, and use the cfe.bin, or the generic DD-WRT Micro image. I came here for help because for some reason I can't log in to the DD-WRT forums, and I can't find/contact the administarator because the idiots who set up the site failed top put a link to the admin's contact info.Is there anyone who can help me with this?
