The mini-game was disabled from the game before release, but assets for it were soon discovered, and the Hot Coffee mod restored access to it. The modification attracted considerable controversy from lawmakers and politicians following its publication, and led the US to re-evaluate its rating for the game. A patch has been since released by to remove all Hot Coffee assets, restoring its ESRB rating to normal.

2264d agoYea he makes good points, the gaming industry has gotten WAY more open with sex and nudity than they were in the early 2000's. I don't see it being a problem at all unless they showed legitimate intercourse. Still not a problem for most, but it would create a media outrage. But for basic sex like Witcher 2 and Heavy Rain (Mass Effect is strictly to get a rise from teen boys, sorry), it just fits GTA if they bring back dating. The main question now is if they will make it interactive, most games don't as it sort of increases the maturity and risk. 2264d agoIt would be stupid if they did so, it would only complicate game ratings e.g ESRB and risk the game getting toned down or banned entirely in overly sensitive countries. The hot coffee mod was stupid anyway, if you want to watch porn then it's right there on the internet, no need to put it in the game for the sake of controversy.GTA V will have more controversial things in it, people should expect it by now.
