Chrome Not Showing In Volume Mixer
Hello, recently over the past month, I have been dealing with a virus, im guessing its adware or malware. I have cleaned and scanned and used multiple programs such as Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials and it has cleaned up all malware and adware. Everything says its okay right now.But, for some reason, and I have been trying to fix this problem for the longest time now. A hidden Google Chrome window is playing ads, what sounds like TV shows in the background. Now, you can only see this in your volume mixer (in Windows 7).
It is strange because this is automatically muted, and can only be unmuted if i hold down on the mute button, if not it just mutes again. This also mutes all my other windows. I have searched on Google, Youtube and really everywhere i usually go to remove viruses and so far, no one has had a solution. I haven't ever had to ask about a virus before, but this one is just really hard to get rid of.Also, the window does NOT appear in the task manager processes tab. I have only 2 Extensions in Google Chrome, Adblock and Google Docs.
I have cleared all the extensions from the TEMP files. I have cleared my TEMP files.This is a big issue for me because I can not use FL Studio.
FL Studio, a music mixing and producing program, requires me to use ASIO Drivers, which require me to close any processes that use sound, this virus is using sound. And I can not close it.Also, I think it is bringing in more adware as today i had a Do-Search engine become my homescreen. Luckily i knew how to remove that. But it could happen in the future.Sorry for such a long post, this is a big issue that i have not found any sort of resolution to and i think it needs to be looked at a lot more, of course as long as there is not already a solution I just am not seeing.Here is a GIF image showing what is happening.
